Hmmm... methinks it wasn't your response, but perhaps a keyword in the
oringinal quoted portion:

Hmmm... makes you wonder -- this word would be perfectly acceptible as part
of a "business communication" if the business in question was a
vetrinarian...

(of course, this will probably bounce back to me from them for quoting the
word "sexual" in their response...)
