I agree. What makes this especially disturbing is the implicit notion that
Interex's board is speaking for the organization and its members. As an
Interex member, I don't recall being asked whether I support the merger.
Board members, If my memory is faulty please correct me.

Interex, the ... "independent organization of IT leaders..." won't say
anything about HP EOL'ing the HP 3000 for fear up upsetting their
relationship with HP, but will come out in support of the merger and
management's position even though they have no special expertise in
evaluating the merits of the merger. Interex would do better to spend their
resources on member services and leave the financial politics to others.
