Dale,
HP cares from the stand point that their future "non-customers" can't get
maintenance and enhancements to the "orphaned product" unless the enable
somebody to provide it. The purpose of the Letter is to demonstrate to HP
the size of that potential community, should they choose to enable OpenMPE.
