You know there is an easy way to handle this issue.....

HP would like all of us to buy a N class box and port over to HPUX. If all
the 200,000+ HP 3000 users told them they will not stay with HP, they would
soon set up, smell the flowers and figure out how to allow MPE/iX users to
EASILY port over to HPUX, OR, how to keep the HP 3000 alive for another
century.

Mu copmpany has decided to get ahead of the curve and are writing a new
program to replace our various programs running on the HP 3000.

Just remember...this is AMERICA....MONEY TALKS.........Hit them where it
hurts in the corporate pocket book if you want to get them to change.

We did it with Tea in the 1700's......we can all figuratively dump our HP
Boxes in the Bay, dressed as Geeky HP Admins, screaming hell no, we won't
go....

OK...lots of mixed metaphors....but I am sure you get the point!

The really sad thing is that HP can and is spending millions and millions
of dollars on lobbying the HP stockholders, but won't spend funds to keep
MPE/iX and the HP 3000 alive and the HP 3000 user base happy. [Comments
about the intelligence of HP's upper management suppressed.]
