From my experience with Pascal, the language itself did not change much. The
size of the variables are still the same. The problem comes in when you
write out the values in binary. This is in respect to REALS. And the only
other consideration is interaction with the OS. Intrinsic calls. Also
segmentation directives are moot, but I think they are ignored by the iX
compiler.

Subject: [HP3000-L] From PASCAL/V to PASCAL/iX
Hello Listers,
Perharps this message has already been posted but an error message has been
returned... Another try, then.
A customer of ours runs a home application developped in Pascal. Their
source codes are compiled with PASCAL/V A.01.32 compiler.
In those times of migration plans (and not talking of the poor performances
of CM programs), they need (and have to) re-compile their codes with
PASCAL/iX A.05.02 compiler.
So, what are the conquences and all the differents tasks to perform when
moving from CM to NM compiler. I know some of them but I'm quite sure to
miss others.
Thanks for your help.
