Uwe,
You probably received your information but the display routines will
probably terminate at a null character which is a given for binary data. Try
casting it to a binary value like integer then print the integer. But the
better way given that binary data could be larger than 2 or 4 words is to
get its length and parse it one byte at a time display the chr of the value.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Binary data via ODBCLINK/SE
Hi,
has any body selected binary data like the catalog.index.colnums column
of Allbase/Image database on HP e 3000 via ODNCLINK/SE. The only result
i got is an empty string. A cast as char also results in an empty
string. What can i do to get the binary information?
Thanks
Uwe
