Hi

I have a TRANSACT program that crashes with a "heap" error periodically. I
am trying to find out why.

In the meantime I would like to able to print a warning message if the
program crashes. Is it possible to check whether a program has crashed
within a job file ?

Example

!run ftftp01
!if "crashed" then
! echo program has crashed
!endif

I have noticed from the spoolfiles that the job terminates immediately after
the error with a "remainder of job flushed" message, so the job stream does
not get to the "if" statement.

Any ideas ?

Thanks for any help

Chris
