Dear University Community,
The History Department is excited to have an African American
History candidate, Melissa Anyiwo, on campus for an interview. You are
invited to hear her informal presentation today, Friday, March 22, 2002,
from 3:00 - 4:00 PM, in Brock 406. She will explain her research and
progress on the dominant stereotypes of African-American Women; namely, the
Jezebel and the Mammy. We look forward to seeing you all there.
