I've got any original IBM PC Jr., complete with hard drive and floppy drive
expansion kits.

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] fun contest - oldest computer relic you have

I have a manual for a CDC 1604 Computer. The manual describes the system,
its operation, and the instruction set. The 1604 was a second-generation
machine (discrete transistors and core memory) that was introduced in 1964,
I believe. It had a 48-bit word (8 6-bit characters) and a maximum memory
configuration of 64k words. Memory access time was 8 microseconds, as I
recall. The college I attended actually had one running. It was donated to
the school when it was obsoleted, and was in a back corner of the computer
room. It was used for beginning assembler classes.
