My Vesoft manual shows a copyright date of 1980  and a current printing date
of 2000.  If you have support why not call them and ask for the newer
version; that's how I got mine.

Vesoft's manual hasn't been updated in years (mine says copyright 1980,
printed 1998), despite endless complaints and suggestions, nowadays usually
delivered in the form of sarcasm due to the stock response "It should be
hard to read - it was hard to write" (EV quote, '88 iirc); Alfredo's 'read a
manual like a love letter' analogy really really applies to this one ;-).
