$2k/day + exes over here. Or maybe there are HPC and -HPC- people?

Sorry for the full quote above, but that last sentence is important
to us in CSY and to those involved in HP consulting and services.

Here is a reply from Ray Riedel, HP-Consulting. He would really like
more info so he and his group can try to educate the HP employee
above, and others like him, that have this mis-information about our
plans and prices.

Absolutely untrue! I do not know who the "HP" is that is
referenced in this e-mail, but HP is definitely not offering
any analysis for $500k. The HPC e3000 Transition Analysis
service is a 3 phased strategy to provide the customer with
valuable transition "roadmaps". With the input being the
detailed analysis of the customer's environment, HPC will
create a hardware transition roadmap, an application
transition roadmap, and an infrastructure transition roadmap.
These deliverables provide the customer with the "go forward"
strategy and steps to a successful transition to another HP
platform. Phase 1 is a half-day meeting with the customer to
discuss the business issues and to understand the business
environment of the customer. The information gathered during
Phase 1 will be used as input into Phase 2. Phase 2 involves
a more detailed analysis of the customer environment and
business. The customer will be provided a high level
executive presentation outlining next steps, issues, and
concerns. This phase is fixed priced at 5 days around $23k.
Phase 3 is the full detailed analysis which will provide the
complete roadmaps outlined above. Phase 3 is a custom priced
engagement due to the differences in environments between customers.

 Regards,
 Ray
