These kinds of tiny differences in O/S versions are what we all should have
documented in some kind of handy document.  I'd bet that the reason this came
up is because some software was going to use this variable and then
(surprise!) it isn't available on some older MPE versions.  If we know what
these slight variations are, we can write code to accommodate them.

I'll volunteer too compile such a cross-reference if all of you list readers
will email me about the differences that you discover.  The newest MPE/iX
version that I currently have access to is 6.0 so I'm not likely to find out
much about 6.5+ for a bit.
