 From my own perspective, I can confirm Jim's observations.

I certainly can't speak for HP's calculations.  All I
can do is relay the result of MANY communications with
MPE-Image users.  IBM seems to have grabbed the hp3000
ball and IBM seems to be running with it.  It is ironic
to think that the AS/4000 (now called the iSeries) started
its life as IBM's response to the hp3000.

Becoming more amazed as the long lazy winter days go by,
