Todd,
Many community colleges offer AS400 classes. The AS400 is still a very
popular machine and was backed by something called marketing. For the
trivia fans out there the development code name for the AS400 was Silver
Lake named after a lake across the street from the IBM R&D lab.
Good luck.

Subject: [HP3000-L] AS/400 training for an HP3000 person
I know this may not be the right group to ask, but, maybe someone with a
3000 background has had this thrust upon them. Maybe more will, given
the
HP3000's end of support announcement by HP.
Can anyone recommend a method/courses/info to become technically
educated on
an AS/400? I have the added responsibility of managing an AS/400 and
it's
applications (developers, too) on the horizon. I anticipate, given my
background is the HP3000, I won't be welcomed with open arms and would
like
to try to get a start on becoming somewhat acclimated to the
environment.
I've seen the IBM training site. Any other ideas/methods?
