Well, it just goes to show that you can't trust anything you read or hear
nowadays. But if Gavin's correct, the HP Board still has a substantial uphill
battle if they are to clear 50%. They must win the favor of 61% of the
remaining votes, which is going to be a struggle. In HP's own polls of its
employees ("which plan do you favor, kid? nudge. nudge. wink. wink."), they
just barely clear that hurdle.
