I'm wondering if anyone has seen this or is aware of any known problems
with VPLUS security enhancements.

I have a VPLUS fast forms file which has a field for the user to enter a
password - this field is protected by having an enhancement type of "S"
(plus "H" and "I" - but I do not think they are part of the problem). This
forms file has been working just fine in production for literally years.

Today, I wanted to change a literal that is displayed on the same form as
the password - I modified the source file, the non-fast VPLUS file, and
recompiled to a new fast forms file. Now, the characters keyed into the
password field are echoed - visible to the user keying the password.

However, if I point the program to the uncompiled VPLUS forms file, the
security enhancement works just as expected - it prevents the echoing of
keyed characters. I conclude that something in the "compilation" to the
fast forms file has caused the security enhancement to cease working, but I
am not sure what that could be.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
