Denys,
Excuse the open letter format.

Your argument has merit. While I do not believe that the voice of the lone
dissenter is necessarily wrong; neither do I believe that it is
automatically right. My great business acumen has left me working for a
living so I will not attempt to determine which side is correct.

As I said your argument has merit and is cogent right up to the point that
you start ascribing reasons to other peoples actions. Not only do you
ascribe reasons you ascribe the most base of reasons.

Perhaps you know Mr. Hewlett well and can divine his reasons, in which case
I will withdraw my remarks. If not then I suggest that we take the words of
both parties at face value. I do not believe that Mr. Hewlett or Ms. Fiorina
desire anything less than the absolute best for the HP stockholders. Both
have said so at every turn so I have no reason to doubt either party.

The dilemma is that they can't both be right. Intellect will have to solve
the problem. The only other way is as Charlie Ornat said, "ya pays yer
nickel and ya takes yer chance."

The opinions expressed herein are my own and not necessarily those of my
employer.
Yosef Rosenblatt
