The sensor, there's 2, are located in the bars the ribbon rolls across. It
should be in the middle of each rod. You may just have an ink build up
that's preventing the metal strip on the ribbon from contacting the sensor.

Subject: [HP3000-L] HP 2566B Ribbon Sensor

Hi All :)

Anyone know where the sensor is located on a HP 2566B printer? Ours is
failing to reverse the ribbon suddenly and I am not sure where to find the
sensor so I can clean it.

Thanks,
Art "inky fingers... :( hehe' Bahrs
