I would try creating the file as fixed Binary and do a Binary transfer.

Subject: ASCII File & Reflections

I am trying to Transfer (using Reflections) an file to our 3000. I can't
tell if this is a 3000 problem or a Reflections issue, but each time I
attempt a transfer (using Binary), each record is preceeded by one strange
character and moved over one space. I built my HP file as:

build w2input;rec=-512,,F,ASCII;DISC=10000

If try an ASCII and transfer instead of Binary (which should be accurate), I
get an error "Unable to transfer file... Cannot read file - transfer
aborted. Record longer than 32767 bytes". I do not get an error transferring
as Binary, but the file isn't correct because it is an ASCII file. Is there
a Reflections setting I am missing or an build parameter on the HP side?

Lynn
