If you have an HP SLT, FOS, or SUBSYS DDS tape laying around, you can take a
look at the labels on them as they were printed on a Zebra printer
(connected to a 3000) using an actual film ribbon rather than thermal I
believe.

Actually I think all of the Zebra's I've seen in use personally have used
the film ribbon and produce very nice crisp black images.
