Not correct. Zebra has been making THERMAL TRANSFER printers for
years. The ink is transferred to regular printer labels (or any
number of specialized label materials) and the results look better
than anything done on dot matrix or laser and it lasts.
I think some of their printers have the option to switch between
thermal or thermal transfer, but I have always used their printers
in themal transfer mode. And the zebra printer language is very
easy to use.
