As near as I can tell these Zebra printers are all thermal printers. This is
fine for point of sale and other short lived labels but we've got a need for
labels for spare parts that get put on shelves in less than wonderful
conditions, sometimes for years. Thermal labels tend to fade to black in
light or heat. So I'm watching this thread with great interest, hoping for a
solution using the dot matrix impact printers of the subject line.
