Dr. David Sherrill, Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Georgia
Institute of Technology, will present the seminar, "Chemistry Without
Chemicals:  Understanding Molecules With a Supercomputer," on Friday, Feb.
15, at Noon in Grote 420.   All are invited.

Dr. Sherrill, a native of Chattanooga, attended the McCallie School.  While
there, he was selected by the American Chemical Society as one of four
students to represent the United States at the International Chemistry
Olympiad Competition.

Dr. Sherrill is Co-Director of the Center for Computational Molecular
Science and Technology at Georgia Tech.   In his four years on the faculty
there he has already received a New Faculty Award from the Camille and
Henry Dreyfus Foundation and a Career Award for new faculty from the
National Science Foundation.

Dr. Sherrill will meet with students at 2:00 in Grote 405 to discuss
graduate opportunitites at Georgia Tech.
