Tom Patty has received $94,168 from NASA for the third year of the "Earth
and Space Science Education for Pre-Service Teachers" program. These funds
will be used to evaluate and implement high-quality teaching methods for
earth and space science. Over the past few years, this program has
enhanced education in earth and space science that is critically needed
in K-12 curricula.

Under the direction of Mr. Patty, the program will continue to review
national, state, and local science education standards and current
institutional requirements for teachers, with the overall goal to improve
K-12 earth and space science instruction.

Congratulations to Mr. Patty on his efforts to improve science education
for teachers and students.
