Just an exra thought on the Fifth St. problem. It we go back to two
lanes, will there be a problem with:
a) buses not slowing traffic when they stop to load/unload?
Having them stop only in "no parking" areas as at the end of the
downhill walk near Holt Hall might help.
or
b) buses finding it hard to get back into traffic after being in
pullout spaces? Perhaps we could give buses with left turn
flashing a right-of-way to get back into traffic?
