Greetings from the Writing Center!

If you feel that your students are struggling with writing assignments, please
encourage them to come to the Writing Center for help. We offer free
one-on-one tutoring sessions for all UTC students and find that the most
effective tutoring is done over a period of time--students who get in touch
with their own writing processes show the most improvement. Therefore, we
encourage students to come to the center often for writing help.

If you have not yet scheduled a Writing Center presentation for your class,
now would be an excellent time. The presentations are usually conducted by our
writing tutors and take only five-ten minutes of your classtime. We can come
to any class, anytime, anywhere on campus. Call #1774 to schedule one of these
short conferences.
