Friday afternoon, Rick Turpin resigned as Chair of the Fiscal
Integrity Subcommittee of the NCAA Self-Study. Rick also has been serving
as chair
of one of the AACSB certification committees for the College of Business, and
was finding it increasingly difficult to meet all the demands of the
administrative tasks assigned to him. Members of the NCAA Self-Study
want to thank Rick for his help thus far. We also hope hope that we
can call on his expertise from time to time as needed in the future.
Bill Miller has graciously agreed to assume the role of chair for
the Fiscal Integrity Subcommittee. Anyone interested in Fiscal Integrity
issues related to the Athletics Department should direct all

Everyone should remember that the next NCAA Self-Study Steering Committee
Meeting will be next week on Wednesday, February 27, at 3:30 in the Sequoyah
Room of the University Center. The main order of business will be progress
reports from the subcommittees.
