Hi
My apologies if this question has come up before.
I'm having problems installing Sendmail, I believe I've set everything up on
the HP correctly, but keep getting this PTR error. Unfortunately our
network guys don't have a clue about the PTR entry it requires. Running the
DNSCHECK program I get the following response.
Looking up DNS "A" records for trinity.virgin-express.com... yes

Looking up matching DNS "PTR" records for hp3000.be.... no
Either no DNS "PTR" records were found for hp3000.be., or PTR records were
found
but
didn't match trinity.virgin-express.com. This is a serious problem;
double-check /SYS/NET/RESLVCNF and ask your DNS administrator whether or not
your e3000 exists within the DNS database, and then rerun this script after
correcting any problems. Here are the results of the failed dig query:
; <<>> DiG 8.1 <<>> -x PTR IN
;; res_mkquery: buffer too small
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
