I can second that. I rember quite well a time, when HP300 and MPE/iX was the
first platform, where the new R3 release of SAP was available. At this time the
AS400 was not supported by SAP, because it was not "open" enough to run this
application. (BTW; I have no relationship to SAP, neither as customer nor as
vendor).
Now this has turned the other way round, you can get SAP on AS400 but not on
MPE/iX anymore.
Thats the real story. And there are still many other examples likt ORACLE etc.
