Is the list a target for spam.  Just in the last 24 hours a half dozen of
them
came through, the last two being "Z-editor greetings" and
"[log in to unmask]".
Can this spamming be stopped ?

I agree - why the change all of a sudden? There seemed to be little-to-no
spam until 2002! Did something change in the management of this listserver?

I guess, one solution would be, if all members prefixed their subject with
one
of the codes discussed many months ago, the spam could be filtered out

Any other suggestions ?

Most of the listservers I belong to have a SysOp type who ensures that those
registered have at least some semblance of validity. Not sure if that is
possible on this one, but it's a suggestion.
