Hi Goetz,

  Things appear to be back up and running again.  For
some reason our Internet path to the newsguy.com service
was interrupted for about a day and a half so we couldn't
post new messages.  I'm looking at the newsgroups directly
on enews.newsguy.com (a subscription service), and we
posted 87 messages from around 5am this morning on.  It will
take a while for these to propagate out to the other Usenet
services but they should get there.  The gateway itself is
scheduled to run once every 15 minutes so there isn't a lot
of delay there.

  Things normally run so smoothly that I don't regularly check
to make sure its doing its job :)  I'll keep a closer eye on
it though for a while.

I've forgotten who currently runs & maintains the 3000-L gateway
to comp.sys.hp.mpe (was it editcorp ? if so I apologize to
Michael ahead).

The gateway appears to be down, at least when I compare the
latest postings in the archives on Raven with what is shown
on groups.google.com (don't know how much latency the latter
has).
