Don't know, but it won't be pretty.  I have to wonder whether much of a
protest will materialize, though, because a large number of MPE types might
not even show up.  That's a lot of training money to spend if you're looking
toward a non-HP future...

Thanks to the readers who reminded me that in 1990
there was widespread and bitter opposition to HP's
announced unbundling of Image from MPE, which was
subsequently rescinded.

I wonder what the 2002 conference will bring.
