I usually do this to harass the other party when they harass me...

Note down their email address and subscribe that email address in 'n'
websites (pick your own choice of websites who sends regular junk stuff
through email) where 'n' is the height of anger to cause this harassment..

If it comes by USPS then if they include a self addressed postal cover then
I post the same stuff back to sender.. So GARBAGE in GARBAGE back.. If no
self addressed postal cover is sent then throw in to trash can.. USPS will
be increasing the stamp cost shortly as they complained that the volume of
mails has reduced due to lots of Sept 11 related factors. 80% of my mails
are junk emails and following this above procedure, I have spotted a slight
decrease in the volume of mails arriving in my mailbox including the junk
mails.

Hope this helps..

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] OT: Spam on HP3000-l

Since Michael politely offers a gateway/no-gateway decision up to the
majority of listserv users, here's my position re spam on HP3000-L;
hopefully this communicates my "vote", too:

Use the Delete button freely, and rejoice the fact that this spam is not
nearly as difficult or expensive to trash as is the hardcopy spam you
receive daily via the USPS.
