If you have no plans on upgrading the O/S and you keep your support with
another vendor then you don't need the HP support. But you may want to
upgrade your O/S first.
Anyone else have ideas.
I use to work with David.

Subject: [HP3000-L] hp's right to use materials contract
In leu of HP'discontinuing 3000 support, Is there any reason I need to
keep paying them for this annual right to use materials fee. It's
thousands of dollars I could put to good use in other area's of our IT
budget. If I don't need to pay it, why do it. What are the pro's and con's
of keeping this support agreement.
