A new look was launched today for the UTC homepage and secondary
index pages. The most obvious changes are the addition of calendar
listings and a news story to the front page and a reorganization of
links on the secondary pages.
The printing of UTCnews, the campus newsletter for faculty and staff,
has been suspended due to budget restraints, and this new design
provides an opportunity to highlight some important campus activities
as well as to recognize faculty and staff achievements. To submit
items for the Recognition section, please email them to

The calendar items are automatically generated from the UTC on-line
calendar. To post events on the calendar, go to
http://www.utc.edu/cgi-bin/webevent.cgi and follow the directions.
The secondary index page reorganization is in response to concerns
that the previous pages had too much information on them and some
items were difficult to find.
The UTC homepage and entire website is, appropriately, a fluid
project with constant tweaking and substantial changes periodically.
We understand that everyone will not like the changes, but we offer
these changes in an attempt to address identified needs and welcome
your input into future updates.
