Dear Colleagues,
Please be aware of an excellent video in the Lupton Library: "Without Pity:
A film About Abilities". It is narrated by Christopher Reeves, and focuses
on people who have physical disabilities. Rather, it focuses on their
ABILITIES, and is an excellent film to build awareness and sensitivity about
people who are cognitively capable but physically challenged. Anyone in
education, social work, child development, rehabilitation, etc. would find
it enlightening. Many of our students would benefit from its message.
Video # 4674 (I have it checked out now: will return it to Lupton 2/1)
