Christian, I appreciate and mostly agree [maybe completely] with your
comments.

All that could be added at this point is that we should be able to agree
that the HP Corporate environment is not entirely sane at this time.

My approach to an insane environment is to leave it if I can (and no one of
use will be able to change this one), or, if failing that, leave it alone
and strive to distance myself from it as much as possible.
