Dear Fellow listers:
On the off chance that anybody would be attempting to use the noted printer with a 3000, the following are the entries required to configure via Printpath:
NETPRINT D=RLP45
NODE xxx.nnn.mmm.ooo
QUEUE PRINT
ALIAS=yyyyy
OPTIONS PTYPE=LPD;RESET;PURGE;BSD;SPORT=721
MPE TELLOP Printpath now Printing to RLP45
NETLOG
END
RLP45 exists in the NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS file with appropriate IP address.
Queue is "Canon, i.e." PRINT
"OPTIONS" and the following syntax should be on one line.
The key is to use the PTYPE=LPD to indicate Unix
line printer daemon, BSD = mode, Unix, and the Port number 721.
HTH and thanks to RAC
