Please join me in extending sympathy to Margaret Daniel, coordinator of the
Adult Services Center in the passing of her father, Mr. Melvin Smith.  Mr.
Smith passed away on Saturday evening, December 8, 2001.  Visitation will
be on Tuesday, December 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga
Funeral Home, North Chapel.  The service will follow visitation in the
small chapel, grave side, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens--adjacent to the
funeral home which is located on Highway 153 in Hixson.  In lieu of
flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be sent to the Adult
Scholar's Scholarship Fund here at UTC.
