Double negatives aside, I find C++ troublesome too. Maybe it was the dose
of Pascal in my early training, but I started to choke when the instructor
said that C++ was a strongly-typed language. Maybe in comparison to Pascal
it is. But I found it very odd how C++ will automatically convert the
types of variables passed in subroutines instead of kicking out a warning
or error. This can lead to some hard to find bugs. So, if I want the
flexibility of C, I'll use C. If I want object oriented features, I'll use
Java.
