The N-class server requires a "rack extension kit", which adds about 8
inches to the depth of the rack.

The N-class chassis is 38 inches deep. Also, you must allow space for the
cables.

Here's a quote from the rack config guide:

"Must also order the appropriate Depth Extension Kit A5541A
        (E25), A5542A (E33), or A5543A (E41)."

Note that this is for the current racks. I am not sure if there was an
extension kit for the older racks, nor how to find one. I believe when
you refer to the "1.96 M" cabinet, you are referring to an older cabinet.

I also recommend three PDUs in the cabinet, plus the redundant power
supply (N+1 config).

It possible, hook each PDU to a separate phase of the 208 V power.

If you lose a phase, the other two will continue to power the unit.

In doing site prep, allow 48 inches of front and 36 inches of rear access.
The chassis must be able to slide both forwards and backwards 24 inches.

Also, don't slide the side of the cabinet up against a wall. It will make
it difficult or impossible to swap out cards.
