I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that you've had a chance to do some
performance comparisons between Eloquence and PostgreSQL and MySQL
(scalability, reliability, performance) since you've been working with
Eloquence for some time and needed to justify it other than just "being
like Image".  Do you have any current numbers you can share?  I know that
PostgreSQL has a pretty new release, 7.1.2 I believe, and 7.2 is in beta
and is supposed to really be killer, but I haven't tried it myself.
