Would it make sense? Of course; NTFS provides security, integrity, and
performance benefits unavailable on FAT.
NT has done in-place FAT->NTFS conversion since it was released. There are
some requirements on the amount of free disk space on the target drive;
CONVERT will tell you if it needs more room.
If your expected hardware configuration + usage pattern is such that you'll
use the paging file a lot, consider keeping a separate FAT partition for the
paging file.
