I don't know if there are any PDQ users out there any more, but just in
case...
programs compiled with PDQ will not run properly if they access a data base
which uses MDX.  DDX is fine, only MDX causes the problem.

In the case I saw, the program didn't fail, it just produced a report
containing
a lot of stuff that looked as though the record layout was wrong.  Removing
MDX from the data base cleared up the problem.

Well, third-party software last updated something like 15 years ago . . .
