To possibly broaden the discussion, or to at least broadcast my own
ignorance: who pays the support costs? Response Center/Expert Center/etc.
people, hardware, operations? CEs? SEs? Patch development? As distinguished
from what is also identified as "support", but which is really "ongoing
R&D": OS extension.
