You might want to map a network drive to Invent3K and edit with Samba
and your favourite PC or Linux editor. The "save as" will then be across
the network (a much more compact transaction than char-by-char in vi).

 net use X: \\invent3k.external.hp.com\user.acct  (pw = userpw,acctpw)

Under Linux, you might be able to use smbmount or mount -t smbfs.
