For those interested in Flamenco and unable to attend the Flamenco
Vivo!Carlota Santana dance performance on Sunday (either because of
scheduling conflicts or because we will have zero tickets), there will be a
lecture demonstration on Monday at 11:00 am in the Roland Hayes Concert
Hall at the Fine Arts Center.
A lecture demonstration is intended to educate as it entertains, so there
will be music, dance and conversation. This outreach activity is sponsored
in part by grants from Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga, Tennessee Arts
Commission, Southern Arts Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
I hope many of you will schedule a visit to the Fine Arts Center to
experience the wonderful programming of the Departments of Art, Music and
Theatre and Speech. And if you have not been to the Patten Series, come see
what you have been missing.
