Just a reminder of Professor Loch Johnson's speech on "The CIA and
The War on Terrorism," which will be from 12-1 pm Monday, November 5 in the
Raccoon Mountain Room.
Dr. Johnson, a national expert on the CIA and a honored professor
at the University of Georgia, will discuss the current crisis based on his
knowledge of the Central Intelligence Agency after publishing 4 books on
the CIA and working for the US Senate, House and White House bodies
overseeing CIA operations, performance and its post-Cold War mission. He
published an op-ed on the issue in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution several
weeks ago and was interviewed on National Public Radio about the charge of
an intelligence failure relating to the September ll terrorist attack.
I can personally attest that he is an engaging speaker, who truly
knows his subject.
