Dear Colleagues,
         Following last week's session to discuss the mission statement and
guiding principles
drafted by the Mission Statement Steering Committee, the committee members
met to discuss
recommended revisions and the comments provided by the campus community and
UTC's external constituencies. As a result of that meeting, several
revisions have been made to the
document which have been posted to the campus website and can be accessed
via the Mission
]Statement Review Process page.

         The members of the Mission Statement Steering Committee welcome
your comments
and your recommendations regarding this proposed final draft and will
appreciate your forwarding
them to Dick Gruetzemacher via email or phone (4007) prior to the Faculty
Meeting scheduled
for Wednesday, November 14,  at 3:15 p.m. in 129 Grote Hall.
