UT Board Trustee Tiffany Smith, a UTC student, is organizing an effort at
Saturday's Homecoming football game to raise awareness of the need for
greater state funding of higher education in Tennessee.  Participants will
distribute material outlining the benefits of higher education for the
state and the potential damage the state could face if funding is not
increased.

Anyone who is interested in helping Saturday, November 3, beginning at

Tennesseans for Higher Education, a statewide effort being organized by the
UT Board of Trustees and the UT National Alumni Association, also have a
